How Cannabidiol (CBD) Works for Treating Anxiety

While we don’t normally think of anxiety as desirable, it’s actually a critical adaptive response that can help us cope with threats to our (or a loved one’s) safety and welfare. These responses help us recognize and avert potential threats; they can also help motivate us to take action to better our situation (work harder, pay bills, improve relationships, etc.). However, when we don’t manage these natural responses effectively, they can become maladaptive and impact our work and relationships. This can lead to clinically diagnosable anxiety-related disorders. We’ve all heard the saying, “stress kills.” It’s true!

Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Here is a great side dish to add to your Thanksgiving dinner! Easy, delicious and VEGAN!

Brussels sprouts can be a bit intimidating on their own, but when roasted with a splash of balsamic vinegar, they become a delectable treat!

Traditional roasting methods usually call for a coating of olive oil before cooking, but I opted for coconut oil in this particular dish. The higher the saturated fat content in a cooking oil, the less likely it is to be damaged or oxidized, making coconut oil a more stable fat source for cooking at high temperatures. In fact, I’ve noticed that when I cook with coconut oil, my vegetables rarely burn!

Tender on the inside, and crispy on the outside, these Brussels sprouts are a quick and easy addition to any meal.

New Study Suggests Cannabis Improves Night Vision

As we all know, weed can have some strange effects on our minds and bodies. New research now suggests an added benefit we could all use—better night vision.

This theory is not totally new but proof has been lacking.

Twenty-five years ago, a pharmacologist at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica noted that a local fisherman who smoked weed and drank rum made from cannabis leaves and stems seemed to have “an uncanny ability to see in the dark.” And back in 2002, a team of researchers from the U.S. and Spain set out to confirm rumors that Moroccan fishermen and people living in rural mountain areas who smoked hash had an extraordinary ability to visibly see objects in the near dark.

Now, a scientific study is providing hard evidence for these claims.

Snoop Dogg Tours World’s Largest Marijuana Greenhouse

Rocking his own Leafs by Snoop lab coat, a Tweed hat and his usual bling, the world’s most renowned cannabis connoisseur paid a visit to the world’s largest medical marijuana greenhouse.

Snoop wanted to check out the buds growing at this 350,000-square-foot greenhouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada.

“Snoop did a tour to inspect the facility and get a look at the next batches of Leafs By Snoop products that we’re growing out at Tweed Farms,” Tweed director of communications Jordan Sinclair told the website Niagara this Week.

How To Be Happy And Healthy By Spending More Time In Nature

Just like everyone else out there, I’m always looking for ways to optimize. Optimize my work, my pleasure, my health. There’s a ton of advice out there about how to be more productive at work, how a new gadget will save you time around the house, or how to get a promotion.

But there’s less out there about ways to improve your spiritual satisfaction. Where are all of the articles with titles like “5 Easy Ways to Live a Fulfilled Life”? Most of the time, we think that the biggest, most important issues in life are problems for an individual person to solve. We think that some people are just born to be miserable, to suffer incessantly.

This is total nonsense.

In this article I’m going to share with you the best tip for increasing your happiness and spiritual health. What I’ll share with you is truly easy—-it’s really the ultimate life hack. You might be skeptical at first; I usually am when someone says that they know the secret to life and how easy it is to achieve happiness. But give it a chance before you dismiss what I’m about to say.

My simple trick is this: Spend time outdoors.
